This is a graphite pencil drawing I made a week ago. As a perfectionist, I do have a lot of critique on this piece. Even though people say judging your work too hard is not benefitial, I believe doing so helps the artist improve significantly. I sought to convey a sense of complexity and endless movement by allowing the structures to intersect and continue beyond clear boundaries. The dramatic perspective and strong contrast between light and shadow create depth, while the birds introduce a feeling of freedom against the confined and maze-like architecture. Overall, the piece contrasts restriction and openness, encouraging the viewer to move visually through the space and question where each path might lead. I think the piece is visually engaging, with strong perspective and detailed architectural forms that create a convincing sense of depth. The overlapping structures make the composition feel dynamic, although some areas become slightly crowded and difficult to distinguish. Increasing the contrast between the foreground and background and simplifying a few sections could improve clarity and make the main focal points stand out more. I used one-point perspective here. But in my later works i think I am going to work on the fish-eye perspective because I really want to challenge myself (it is the hardest one to draw in my opinion) with different techniques.
