Yesterday, I officially published my first NFT collection on OpenSea. From setting the prices to organizing the collection, the entire process was a challenge—especially since technology has never been my strongest skill. Still, once I got the hang of it, everything began to feel more manageable, and seeing the project completed was incredibly rewarding.
My intention with NFTs has never been about earning money. That is why I chose not to set high price tags on my work. I started this project simply because I am deeply interested in design and wanted to share my ideas with others. If earning money comes as a bonus, that is great—but it has never been the main motivation behind my work. My NFT studio is called Form and Function Lab Studio, a name that reflects my focus on purposeful and thoughtful design.
I first became curious about NFTs when I came across the book “NFT Nedir?” (“What Is an NFT?”) while browsing in a bookstore. At the time, I had heard about NFTs often—through my family and online—but I had never taken the time to truly understand them. I assumed NFTs were only about digital art, which I strongly disliked. I have always preferred sketching with pencil and paper, feeling the texture of the page beneath my hand. Drawing on paper has been part of my life since I was four years old, and that physical connection to the process has always mattered to me.
Reading that book changed my perspective. I realized that NFTs did not require me to abandon my way of working. The focus was not the medium, but the design itself. That realization led me back to paper, where I began brainstorming ideas freely. This process eventually resulted in the Honeycomb Sanctuary, a multi-use structure inspired by the hexagonal form of a honeycomb—chosen for both its visual strength and functional versatility.
Looking ahead, my goal is to create at least twelve NFT collections this year—one each month. By the time I begin college, I hope to have developed over forty collections with more than four hundred individual designs. This blog will document that journey, serving as both a digital diary and a record of my creative growth over time.
